Review: Hewlett Packard Laser Jet Printer (P2015DN)
I recently had to go through some changes in my house that resulted in me getting a smaller room for my home office. Since I didn't have the space for my larger printer, I had to purchase a smaller one from Hewlett Packard, Model P2015DN.
So far, I'm very happy with my purchase. Because of the various projects I work on at home, I end up doing a lot of printing. And, I've found the store-bought printers designed for home use just don't cut it for me. I don't need a color printer; just one that can print in black and white and not need toner every couple of days. The Hewlett Packard laser jet printer fits that need perfectly. When I first started using it, I was concerned because, even at the lowest quality setting, the documents the printer printed were darker and clearer than the highest setting on my older printer. I figured this meant the Hewlett Packard would go through ink much faster too. However, that hasn't been the case. I probably print 100-150 pages of material each day. Yet, after about two months of use, I haven't had to change the toner cartridge yet. There aren't many printers out there that can give you improved quality while still saving you money on ink. There are a couple other things I like about this printer. First, it's very easy to use. There are just too many printers out there that are more complicated than they need to be. I found that, when I need to change the toner cartridge, it's a process that takes only a minute or two to do. If I get a paper jam, I only have one part of the printer that needs to be opened; rather than several possible places the paper could be. You have no idea how nice it is for me not to have those headaches to deal with. The printer itself is small enough to fit on the corner of my desk. Again, this is a major convenience for me considering my last printer needed its own separate table and I now have limited space. Plus, it is very quiet. This is a huge plus for me considering my office is next to my daughter's room and I do a lot of work when she's asleep. After purchasing the HP P2015DN, I don't think I'm going to be looking to change models anytime soon. This one fits my needs too perfectly.
